simplychristians

There are no special requirements or procedures to join the church. Each saved person is added to Christ’s church (Acts 2:47) by God. According to Ephesians 2:8-9, salvation is truly a gift of grace from God!

You may wonder, “How can I become a Christian and know that I am saved?”

The Bible gives us many examples of how people became Christians in Acts chapters 2, 8, 9, 10, 16, and 18. The gospel plan of salvation is extremely simple: Christ died for each of us to save us from our sins. It is through His death, burial, and resurrection that each one of us can develop a saved relationship with Him and be sure of a home in Heaven for eternity. This is done by our belief in Jesus and His work as God’s Son (Hebrews 11:6); repenting of our sins and deciding to change the course of our life (Acts 17:30); confession of our faith in Jesus (Matthew 10:32; Acts 8:37); and baptism (being fully immersed into water according to the original Greek word for baptism, and the New Testament examples.) Please see Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Acts 8:36-38 and Romans 6:3-5.

After this, we are members of Christ’s church and are called “Christians”. We then go on to live a life of faithful service to God (Revelation 2:10), through the power of the Holy Spirit as seen in Galatians 5:16-25.

We would love to help you learn more about this new way of life where you can find peace (John 14:27) and where you do not have to be alone (Matthew 28:20)!
